If your community can’t meet in person, you can use Facebook Live to host online events and stay connected, broadening your reach beyond the walls of your house of worship. Start a live video from the Facebook app on your phone to broadcast live discussions or services. For higher quality broadcasts, you can also use a desktop camera or streaming software on Facebook Live. Learn more about how to go live on Facebook.
Pages can showcase a dedicated Live tab so it’s easier for viewers to find live broadcasts. The Live tab would include all the Pages’ live content: Scheduled Lives, current Lives, past Lives, on both mobile and desktop.
Pages can promote their Live content off-platform with a Live tab URL that links directly to the Live tab. The persistent Live tab URL for all Pages is facebook.com/[your page name]/live.
Host Badges can help viewers know which comments are from members of your organization. Only Page followers are eligible to receive a Host Badge. The host badge does not grant any capabilities beyond those of the Page role you have granted that person. How to assign Host Badges in Live Producer. Learn more.
Prominently displays a link to an external website during your live broadcast. Viewers won’t be taken out of the Facebook app or Live broadcast when they click on the link. Learn how here.
Saved Settings enables broadcasters to view and select preferences for their live broadcasts in one place, and save their preferences for future streams. With Saved Settings, you can take advantage of several new features in Live Producer: Direct Messaging, Promote Group, Share to Groups, Host Badges, and Feature link.
